Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Steve Smith Scholarship Fund website. The SSSFund is an endowed scholarship fund designed to bring one student from my alma mater, Detroit Pershing High School, to my other alma mater, Michigan State University, each year on a 4-year, $10,000 per year scholarship.

The SSSFund is a gift to both the Pershing High School and Detroit communities, intended to encourage its students to carry out those steps necessary to achieve their academic and professional goals, and to provide resources that will benefit the students well beyond their academic careers. With the support of MSU, Pershing High School, and other generous donors across the country, we have been able to provide an outstanding college education for one student every year since the scholarship’s inception in 2000, and hope to be able to provide for even more students each year in the future.
