Steve to Speak at Cooley Law School

Lansing, MI – Steve Smith and Russ Granik will serve as the guest speakers at the Inaugural Howard Soifer Memorial Lecture in Sports & Entertainment Law, to be held at Cooley Law School on May 22, 2006.

Smith, a friend and former client of Howard Soifer (Class of ‘77), will speak on his professional and personal relationship with Soifer, as well as the relationship between professional athletes and their legal counsel and other professional advisors. Granik, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer of the National Basketball Association, will present -The Explosive Growth of Professional Sports: A Talk on Dramatic Changes Over the Last 30 Years from an Insider’s Perspective.
